Overview

This Privacy Policy explains how the operator of BrowseOrbit collects, uses, and shares information when you use browseorbit.com and its search features. By using the service, you acknowledge the practices described here.

Information we process

  • Search information. We process the words and phrases you enter so we can send your request to a search-results provider.
  • Technical information. Servers and service providers may receive your IP address, browser type, device type, operating system, referring page, timestamps, and diagnostic data.
  • URL parameters. Campaign, channel, source, or similar identifiers included in the page URL may be passed with a search request for attribution and service measurement.
  • Communications. If you email us, we receive your email address and the contents of your message.

How we use information

We use information to provide search and autocomplete functions, route search requests, operate and secure the service, diagnose errors, measure performance, prevent misuse, respond to messages, and comply with legal obligations.

Service providers and external sites

Searches and autocomplete requests may be handled by third-party providers. When you submit a search, you may leave BrowseOrbit and arrive at an external results page. Those providers receive information needed to complete the request and apply their own privacy policies. BrowseOrbit is not responsible for the privacy practices of external sites.

Cookies and similar technology

BrowseOrbit or its providers may use cookies, local storage, pixels, or similar technology to remember settings, protect the service, understand traffic, and measure attribution. You can limit cookies through your browser, although doing so may affect some features.

Retention and security

Information is kept only for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described above, including security, dispute resolution, and legal compliance. We use reasonable safeguards, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.

Your choices

You may choose not to submit a search, adjust browser privacy controls, or stop using the service. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to request access, correction, deletion, or restriction of certain personal information. To make a request, email info@browseorbit.com. We may need to verify your request.

Children

The service is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review and address the issue.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or applicable requirements change. The effective date at the top shows when this version took effect. Continued use after an update means the revised policy applies to future use.
